This design has been updated continiously over the years and it remains a very lightweight and fast racing catamaran. It is sailed by skippers with a serious "can do" attitude. A dangerous combination if there ever was one. More then a few crews on boats that are rated faster on paper have learned this truth the hard way.

The Mosquito orginated in Australia and is mostly sailed in Southern Australia and South Africa.
